Cristina Bruno
Certifed Pilates Instructor


Cristina is co-owner of Bodywork.  In her native Brazil, Cristina studied classical, modern and flamenco dance.  She completed her studies in the United States.


She received her Pilates certification from the esteemed Pilates Guild where she studied under Romana Kryzanowska. At the same time, Cristina studied Kinesiology with Irene Dowd in New York City.  She trained teachers for The Physical Mind Institute and MOVE Physiotherapy Clinic in Brazil.  She has been teaching Pilates for over 20 years.


Cristina has been studying, working and training with Yamuna for over 10 years.  She has been teaching Bodyrolling since 2005.  Cristina became a Bodylogic Practitioner in 2007. She is one of the few Bodylogic Practitioners in the entire state of Connecticut.  Cristina trains and teaches Yamuna Bodyrolling teachers both in the United States and in Brazil.



Cristina works closely with Molly Weeks, the founder of Ballecore, both training teachers as well as teaching classes.



Our Teachers

Bodywork instructors have years of experience in teaching beginner, intermediate, advanced reformer, little chair, high chair, cadillac, barrel and mat classes.​  Cristina Bruno has been certified to offer Yamuna BodyRolling and BodyLogic sessions.

Karen Kopf


Karen was a dance major at a Suny, Purchase.  She studied Pilates with Ramana Kryzanowska and studied with the Alvin Ailley Schoold of Dance.  She danced as a principle with Coyote Dancers, a spinoff of The Martha Graham Schoold of Dance.


Karen loves to stretch and lengthen individual's muscels, allowing them to go further in their daily lives and in doing so, have more fun.


Pam Margaritis​
Certified Mat Pilates Instructor and Apprenticed Equipment Instructor


Pam has been a practitiioner of Pilates for 20 years.   After breaking her ankle in 1996 she was discharged from Physical Therapy with a significant limp as well as back and knee pain.  Her work at Bodywork restored her ability to walk without a limp and without pain.


After her recovery she obtained her certification in Powerhouse Pilates.  She has also studied with Stott Pilates and has been apprenticing under Cristina Bruno in the Bodywork Methodology.  She has over 500 hours of equipment teaching experience and has been teaching mat Pilates for 10 years.


Pam is also the managing director of Ashimore Center, an organization that follows the Osho lineage and focuses on self improvement through meditation, bioenergetic bodywork and breathwork.
