Ballecore

Molly Weeks, designer of , Ballecore created a synergy of Pilates, Ballet and Yoga.  The method incorporates wooden dowels and therapuetic bands in the work.

 

The Ballecore method has precise sequencing that has been developped to harmonize the Pilates, Ballet and Yoga modalities into a dynamic and fluid practice.

 

Ballecore seamlessly takes participants from postures on the mat to standing using a selection of music ,from around the world, choreographed for this purpose.  This approach allows individuals to train core muscles of the body, correct posture and increase balance.

 

Classes are scheduled by appointment only.

     

 

Pilates

Joseph Pilates, the innovator of the Pilates Method, discovered that he could improve overall fitness levels in his students by strengthening abdominal muscles and lengthening their limbs. He pioneered a mat routine to strengthen individual abdominal muscle groups and realign the spine.

 

 He developed and custom built equipment that contain springs, handles and stretch bars designed to stretch arms and legs while simultaneously challenging the abdominals. Students of Pilates often experience positive changes in their bodies including; leaner waists, toned arms, legs and gluteal muscles as well as an overall increase in wellness.

 

Bodywork offers training on a full complement of studio quality Pilates equipment including; Reformer, Cadillac, Little Chair, High Chair,barrel as well as mat instruction. 

 

Group Mat Classes  are available by appointment. 

Body-Rolling & Bodylogic

Yamuna Zake developped her trademarked methods of Bodylogic and Body rolling to reallign and readjust the body.

 

Yamuna® Body Logic creates space between muscle and bone, allowing the body’s perfect circuitry to fire in logical and correct order. This, in turn, allows the body as a whole to perform optimally.


YAMUNA® BODY ROLLING. is a very powerful self -repair and self-maintaining tool that everyone can do regardless of his age or physical limitations. In a Yamuna® Body Rolling class one learns to work on each part of the body, rolling the appropriate ball (vis-à-vis size and firmness) from the buttocks to the calf; from the tail bone up to the skull; from the abdomen up to the collar bone; from the collar bone out to the shoulder joint; and so on. Everywhere you have muscle connecting from one place to the next; this is the path along which Yamuna® Body Rolling takes you.
